Client Terms
Last updated: 11 July 2026
These terms apply once a quote is accepted and a project begins with Maha Media CC ("I", "me"). They sit alongside the specific scope, price and deadline agreed for your project. Where anything here conflicts with a signed agreement or written quote for your project, the specific agreement takes priority.
1. Enquiries and quotes
Quotes are based on the information provided in your enquiry (scope, footage/assets available, deadline, and intended use). A quote is valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise, and may change if the brief changes materially after the quote is given.
2. Booking and deposit
A project is confirmed once you accept the quote and, where requested, pay an agreed deposit. Work begins once the deposit (if applicable) has cleared and any required footage, brand assets or references have been received. Exact deposit amount, payment method and due dates are confirmed with you individually when your quote is issued — get in touch via the Contact page to start that conversation.
3. Payment
Payment terms for your specific project — deposit amount, balance due date and accepted payment method — are agreed directly with you as part of your quote, before work begins. If you're unsure what these would look like for your project, send an enquiry and this will be confirmed as part of the quote. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is due on delivery of the final files, before high-resolution/watermark-free exports are released. Late payment may incur a reasonable admin fee and pause any further revisions.
4. Revisions
Each project includes an agreed number of revision rounds (specified in your quote). Revisions must relate to the original brief. Requests that significantly change the brief, add new footage, or go beyond the agreed rounds may be treated as additional paid work.
5. Turnaround and deadlines
Delivery timelines are estimates based on the brief and are planned around the deadline you provide. Timelines may shift if footage/assets/feedback arrive later than agreed, or if the scope changes. I'll always communicate delays as early as possible.
6. Client responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide footage, brand assets, references and feedback in good time
- Only supply content you have the legal right to use (footage, music, images, likeness/consent for anyone appearing on camera)
- Give clear, consolidated feedback within each revision round
Maha Media CC is not responsible for copyright, likeness, or licensing issues in footage or assets supplied by the client.
7. Intellectual property and usage rights
On full payment, you receive a licence to use the final deliverable for the purpose agreed at the time of booking (for example, social media posting, advertising, or a specific campaign). Unless explicitly agreed and paid for, this licence does not include unlimited resale, resyndication, or transfer of the underlying project files (raw footage, editable source files, layered artwork).
Maha Media CC retains the right to display the finished work in her portfolio and on her own social media and website, for the purpose of showcasing her work, unless you request confidentiality in writing before or at the time of booking.
8. Cancellation
If you cancel a project after work has started, any deposit paid is non-refundable, and payment is due for work completed up to the point of cancellation. If I need to cancel a project, any payment for work not yet delivered will be refunded. Specific cancellation terms for larger or longer-timeline projects may be set out individually in your quote — if in doubt, check with me via the Contact page before booking.
9. Circumstances beyond control
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably beyond their control (for example illness, power or internet outages, or other events of this kind). Where this affects your project, I'll communicate as early as possible and agree a revised timeline with you.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maha Media CC's liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the amount paid for that project. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost opportunities) arising from delivered work. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Confidentiality
Any footage, briefs, or business information you share for a project will be treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of completing your project, unless you agree otherwise.
12. Dispute resolution
If a disagreement arises, please raise it directly by email first so it can be resolved informally wherever possible. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute not resolved informally is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Contact
Questions about a current or upcoming project: admin@mahamediacc.com or via the Contact page.
