Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Maha Media CC is committed to making mahamediacc.com usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement outlines what's been done, what's still being worked on, and how to get in touch if you hit a barrier.
1. Standard aimed for
This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by UK accessibility regulations and good practice under the Equality Act 2010.
2. What's been built in
- Semantic HTML5 structure with a logical heading hierarchy on every page
- A "skip to content" link for keyboard users
- Visible focus states on links, buttons and form fields
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
- Labelled form fields with clear required-field indicators on the contact form
- Respect for the "reduce motion" operating system setting — animations, the hero video autoplay, and decorative motion are reduced or disabled for visitors who have this preference turned on
- No content that relies on cursor position alone — all interactive elements are reachable and usable by keyboard and touch
- Colour choices checked for reasonable contrast between text and background
3. Known limitations
This is a creative, visually-driven portfolio site with custom animation and a decorative custom cursor on desktop. Every such effect is either decorative-only (not required to understand or use the content) or has a reduced-motion fallback, but if you find anything that gets in the way of using the site, please tell me — see below.
4. Feedback and contact
If you experience any accessibility barrier on this site, please get in touch at admin@mahamediacc.com describing the page and the issue. I aim to respond within 5 working days and will do my best to fix genuine barriers promptly.
5. Enforcement
If you're not happy with my response, in England, Scotland and Wales you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or refer to guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
